I know it's a late but these are too good not to share! October 1st was one of the best days EVER!! I got to combine all of my favorite things, boudoir, Halloween, and awesome people!
Out to lunch one day with my good friend Caz (she's amazing by the way) I was telling her my vision for the BOOdoir event, and she had the perfect location that fit my vision. A few days later we went to scope out the location, and I was blown away! This farm was the perfect location and was exactly what I had envisioned!
We had Vanessa there on site doing makeup. Jessica was there doing complimentary Tarot readings and giving out gift bags. Pure Romance by Hopie was on site as well in case the ladies wanted to do some shopping. Each of the participants got gift bags, which included games, candles, and more. I made Witch's Brew punch which was purple and sparkly! I also had a variety of snacks as well, including a pumpkin veggie tray, a fall sweet and sour snack mix, as well as brownies.
This event was different then previous events because it was a group event, meaning all the ladies were going to be hanging out together. Since some of the ladies were meeting for the first time, I wanted to do an ice breaker for the ladies to get to know each other. I created a game called " Find the Lady". When each participant signed up I asked for 2 interesting facts about them, so for example, one lady said she has a huge coffee mug collection, and another lady said she built her own coffin. So I made a game out of it where the ladies and to talk to each other and try to figure out who was who. There was also a game that I made that was sort of like Ball toss.
One of the best parts of the event was Micheal Meyers was on site and on call to participate in any of the ladies photo shoots if they wanted. I have to give it up to my neighbors who went up and beyond for me at this event. When I asked my neighbor if this was something she would be interested in doing, she said "HECK YEAH". She already had the jumpsuit from her Jason costume, and all she needed was to get the mask.
Stacy was a trooper and was up for any of the ladies requests, even if they were a little funny. Not only was she a rock star that day but she brought her partner Amie and she was the real MVP that day! She was my right and lady that day! From helping me clean up, to holding a reflector, to getting me something to drink, and even helping with poses. I cannot talk enough good things about these two ladies, and the event would not have been as successful if it was not for them! I truly am so blessed to have them as my neighbors and my friends!
Each lady got her own individual session with me, and then we got to do the group shots! The ladies could choose to do their own individual group, or with the big group with all the ladies! It was soo much fun! GAHHHH!!
The BOOdoir event was by far my favorite event that I have done this year, and I am so excited for next year!!
