Two years sure has flown by, because I still cannot believe it's been two years since I decided to turn my main focus to Boudoir. It was, but it wasn't an easy decision for me to make. I believe everything happens for a reason and I knew Boudoir was my calling.
I was ready for big changes. I was ready to finally be my true authentic self, and not try to be the Photographer everyone wanted me to be. Rather, I was ready to be the artist I wanted to be. I wanted to do things that set my heart on fire and give me goosebumps.
I knew that by pursing Boudoir and finally being my true self that I would lose clients which was the only hard part in my decision. I had known these families for years, watching their children grow up through my lens and losing them hurt. But I knew that helping women through Boudoir was worth it!
Making that decision two years ago was the best decision I ever made.
Looking back at the last two years, it's been nothing short of amazing!!
First of all, helping women feel beautiful, empowered, confident and comfortable in their body is one of the best feelings I have ever felt! I get goosebumps every single session at that moment, it's the most beautiful thing.
I feel blessed to be able to give that to women. When I hear how I have helped them, watching their confidence grow, it makes everything worth it!
I would like to thank every single beautiful lady who has trusted me the past two years to showcase their beauty, not just pretty pictures of their tushy (because they are really good) but also all the beautiful things inside of them! It truly has been an honor, and I can't tell you know how thankful I am for all of you!!
The second thing that I am so proud of is the community of uplifting empowering women I have created. My private FB Boudoir group of ladies is amazing!! There is no competition, no judgement, rather, encouragement, friendship and lots of laughter!!
Being able to host free community events to help foster those friendships, and giving ladies a safe place to be themselves makes my heart so happy!!
I feel so blessed to be able to have created a community of pretty amazing ladies!!
That has been one of the biggest perks of the last two years, making so many new besties!!
(Also we have a community event coming up next month and I would love to see you there!!)
One of my favorite parts of the past two years is getting to be creative!
I love creating new sets, I have SO many ideas, and there is so much stuff I want to do! That has been one of the biggest joys for me is getting to be creative.
I have lost track how many times I have switched the studio around. Which is funny because I was so excited to have a permanent set ups. Prior to switching to Boudoir, I would change the studio for each session, I was so excited to have something permanent that I didn't have to change all the time! HAHA
I would say that I change the studio about once a month! What can I say, I get bored easily and I am a creative. I like to create, it's just what I do!!
By creating new sets, it allows me to stay fresh and creative while allowing clients to come back multiple times a year and still have something new each time!
Although The Crystal Room (pictured below) is a permanent set and will NEVER leave the studio because I LOVE it too much to ever part ways with it!!
And of course looking back at the last two years, I am blown away by the art that I have created!
I have been in Boudoir photography courses the last year and have really invested on working on my craft and continue to do so.
It's not just about taking pretty pictures, it's about capturing true authentic emotions and moments, it's about evoking feelings, it's about creating art.
I had a client recently whose husband said "Damn, she made you into art!"
I told her that is the best compliment I have ever received because YES, that is exactly what I do!!
It has been so much fun getting to do what I do for the past two years.
I have never been happier, I have never been more fulfilled, and I have no plans on stopping!!
I am so excited for what the future holds for Crystalized Boudoir Photography.
If you would like to see what all the hype is about, contact me so we can discuss all the amazing things that come with your experience!!
